Disaster Management Group unveils COVID-19 testing tool in Florida

Disaster Management Group, a disaster recovery company based in South Florida, recently announced a screening tool for COVID-19 called the DMG test, which is capable of giving out results in 15 minutes. The test will be the first such tool to be used for coronavirus screening in Florida.
Apparently, DMG test is essentially a healthcare product that has been provided by the Disaster Management to both the local and state governments along with other commercial organizations across the world. The quick blood test had been developed under the license by BioMedomics for DMG test. Over two million tests have been deployed worldwide after the Wuhan outbreak in China.
Florida has reported more than 3,198 positive cases for coronavirus along with 46 deaths until the previous week.  
Disaster Management Group’s CEO, Tom Rubio commented that it is the first time that DMG has the same screening tool that provides blood tests to evaluate the candidates suffering from COVID-19 which was effectively and efficiently used in South Korea, the United Kingdom and China for being used in the United States.
Rubio further added that the cost-effective screening tool will be helping different communities in the country and quickly test, detect as well as monitor COVID-19 to stop the spread of the coronavirus. 
According to sources familiar with the matter, the DMG test consists of collecting a sample of blood from pricking a finger. The DMG test then detects the patients’ exposure to COVID-19 in both the conditions where the patient is suffering from the symptoms or not, within a span of four days of the production of antibodies in the patient’s blood.
The test has an 89 to 91% accuracy rate as it relies heavily on the level of antibody production in every individual’s blood. The test will be held in different temporary medical screening facilities which will help the candidates to drive and finish the testing without having to leave their vehicles. This will limit the exposure of ill candidates to those who are not.
