Nissan unveils redesigned 2021 Rogue crossover amidst the pandemic

Automakers worldwide are revamping their existing operations to chart a course through a radically altered retail environment during the on-going COVID-19 crisis. As part of its worldwide turnaround plan, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., the Japanese multinational automaker, has reportedly introduced a new resigned model of its best-selling Rogue crossover.
According to sources, the Rouge 2021 is the first of five redesigned or new vehicles that will be available in America in the next year. The third-generation crossover will come with additional power, sleeker design, and is equipped with cutting-edge technologies. The new model will also come with driver-aid feature ‘ProPilot Assist’
The automaker previously announced its global turnaround plan in May. The reform entails reducing billions in operating costs, axing many nameplates, and closing or reorganizing production facilities
Nissan's new iteration of ProPilot Assistance offers better stability and driving characteristics. Moreover, this feature uses vehicle navigation to lower speeds when reaching a road exit or highway link.
Speaking on which, Andy Christensen, Senior Manager of Nissan Technical Center North America said that this feature helps one to forecast the path more efficiently.
Nissan is calling the navigation-linked system ProPilot Assist with Navi Link. This is an advanced version of adaptive cruise control which can control the speed, braking and, steering of a vehicle from the ProPilot.
However, drivers still have to keep their hands on the wheel and always watch out for the road. ProPilot Assist can control the speed of the vehicle according to the demands of traffic and, if stuck in traffic, stop and accelerate without driver guidance, as long as there are less than 30 seconds to stop.
On the top two models of the car, including a standard on a new high-end platinum package, ProPilot Assist connected with the navigation system will be available.
The automaker did not announce the cost for the 2021 Rogue. Initial pricing for the existing vehicle ranges from about USD 23,000 to USD 32,000.
