Unirac announces acquisition of solar racking firm Ecolibrium Solar

North American solar mounting systems provider, Unirac has recently announced that it has completed the acquisition of Ohio-based solar racking company, Ecolibrium Solar. According to reports, this purchase would broaden Unirac’s product offering by adding Ecolibrium’s residential rail-less, metal roof products, and commercial flat roof to its product portfolio.
Ecolibrium’s lineup of products includes EcoX, a rail-less product series for residential customers, as well as Ecofoot, a solution built out of polymers for flat roofs that bodes well with Unirac’s newly launched FlashLoc RM attachment.
Sources claim that EcoX would complement Unirac’s SFM Infinity series, providing a metal roof solution and different features in its MetalX variant. Unirac intends to combine Ecolibrium’s products and teams over the upcoming months.
Speaking on the move, Peter Lorenz, CEO, Unirac, said that the company is thrilled to welcome Ecolibrium’s team and is looking forward to deepening its product portfolio by adding Ecolibrium’s pioneering products. Ecolibrium shares the same passion for driving customer success and has a strong focus on distribution.
The expanded engineering services, field support, and scale in production would enable Unirac to help customers grow their solar operations and reduce costs, particularly on commercial projects, added Lorenz
Sam Veague, former CEO, Ecolibrium, said that Unirac comes as a great fit for the company’s visions and teams. With an identical approach to quality, product development, and customer experience, the combined strength of both firms would enhance their ability to deliver exceptional services and products to customers.
Prior to this news, Unirac had made headlines when it named Sunpro Solar as its Certified Platinum Installer. This move positions Sunpro Solar within a select group of solar installers that have been hand-selected by Unirac.
Reportedly, certified partners receive Unirac’s complete backing, while platinum-tier certification is developed to differentiates prominent installers while delivering substantial benefits to homeowners.
